Introduction
At Srvwire Property Protection LTD, we proudly commit to honoring the Armed Forces Covenant and supporting the Armed Forces Community. We recognize and value the contributions of serving personnel, both Regular and Reservists, Veterans, and military families to our business and our country. In this blog post, we will outline our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant and highlight the actions we take to demonstrate our support for the Armed Forces Community.
Demonstrating our Commitment
- Promoting the Armed Forces: We actively promote the fact that we are an Armed Forces-friendly organization to our staff, customers, suppliers, contractors, and the wider public. We raise awareness of our support for the Armed Forces Community, highlighting the valuable skills and experiences that serving personnel, Reservists, Veterans, and military families bring to our organization.
- Supporting Veterans: We recognize and value the skills and qualifications gained by veterans during their military service. In our recruitment and selection process, we give due consideration to military experience and qualifications. We collaborate with the Career Transition Partnership (CTP) to support the employment of Service leavers, providing opportunities for a successful transition to civilian careers.
- Supporting Service Spouses & Partners: We acknowledge the unique challenges faced by Service spouses and partners. We actively support the employment of Service spouses and partners, recognizing their valuable skills and experiences. We partner with the Forces Families Jobs Forum and provide flexibility in granting leave before, during, and after a partner’s deployment to ensure a supportive work environment.
- Supporting Reserves: We understand and appreciate the commitment of our employees who are members of the Reserve Forces. We grant additional paid or unpaid leave for annual Reserve Forces training, fully support any mobilizations and deployments, and actively encourage our staff to become Reservists, recognizing the value of their dual role.
- Supporting Cadet Organisations: We recognize the importance of military cadet organizations in developing young individuals’ skills and character. We support our employees who are volunteer leaders in cadet organizations by granting additional leave for annual training camps and courses. We encourage our staff to become volunteer leaders in cadet organizations and actively support local military cadet units.
- Participation in National Events: We demonstrate our commitment by actively supporting and participating in national events such as Armed Forces Day, Reserves Day, the Poppy Appeal Day, and Remembrance activities. These events allow us to honor and pay tribute to the sacrifices made by the Armed Forces Community.
- Supporting Armed Forces Charities: We actively support Armed Forces charities through fundraising activities. We encourage our staff to volunteer and provide assistance to these charities, recognizing the importance of their work in supporting the Armed Forces Community.
